Stand up comedian Bruce Jingles was born and raised in South Los Angeles, California and has been a part of the stand up comedy scene for over 20 years. Bruce Jingles was born to be a showman, after all, he was born to a woman named Stephanie Joy. Stephanie Joy is Bruce Jingle’s late mother in which he dedicates his first television special titled “His Mother’s Son.” The title was chosen as a means to not only honor her memory but to commemorate such a large milestone in his two decade career, to the woman that gave him life.
The hour-long special is set to debut as an exclusive to In the Black Network on April 24, 2025. The Network is also launching a plan for the special to be easily found on your smart TV by downloading “His Mothers Son” off the In the Black Network app. From Roku, Apple TV, etc. You can register on the network’s app or site for free and then buy the special; or you can skip the TV and buy it on your phone. Bruce Jingles plans to meet his fans in person by continuing to tour worldwide and meet his fans in person as he continues to promote his comedy special.
This launch is one that seems long overdue for Jingles. Crowds have been enjoying his take on the world through his sarcastic, observational, dark humor with a dash of self deprecation for quite some time. His comedic brand blends just the right amount of wit impersonation and essential timing making him a hit in front of any crowd.
A man of many hobbies, Jingles captures a crowd with a propensity for pot, a love of comic books and a soft spot for storytelling. Whether he’s impersonating drunks juxtaposing stereotypes or recounting his various run-ins with the law, Jingles’ material is endearingly eloquent and rife with intelligence. Jingles has also done considerable work in radio participating in shows on KCAA NBC-AM as well as several established podcasts adding another layer to his already engaging performance. Jingles has taken his compelling act all over the country as well as overseas entertaining troops as part of several USO tours.
Jingles’ expansive body of work has been showcased on networks such as ABC VH1 FOX NUVOTV and two Showtime specials.
