The PCB announced that all eight remaining matches – playoffs and final – of Geo Super will now take place in Dubai instead of their original venues Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore. Foreign players participating in the PSL have also expressed concerns over its security situation, with several international cricketers reportedly signalling they do not wish to remain playing here in its present form. This relocation isn’t unprecedented: in 2021, due to a spike in COVID-19 cases in Pakistan, the Pakistan Super League was moved from Karachi to Abu Dhabi without major disruptions or interruptions, successfully hosting all remaining matches without major setbacks.
